  • “Attention Casteel Softball players in grades 7th-9th! There will be a FALL SOFTBALL CAMP ON October 1st-3rd. You may now register on the CUSD Community Education website. There is ONE fee for the ENTIRE camp and pitchers and catchers will start before the rest.
We hope to see you out there! GO COLTS!!!!”
  • Hard fought meet yesterday. Boys lost a heartbreaker like the girls did last week. On the girls’s side, McClintock’s All American was too much to overcome, but we are proud of how the girls battled and believed they were in it the whole meet. Across the board, our swimmers said they felt slower than usual and the times supported that. Amazing considering McClintock’s Coach said their pool is the second fastest in the Valley behind ASU.
  • Casteel Cross Country competed in Woodbridge Cross Country Classic in California and finished 2nd! Men were led by gritty performances from Derek Baca, (an injured) Dayton Carlson, Meyson Tyler, a speedy Nate Mann, and Graham Farnsworth. Women were led by Jadyn Herron Jonap in 3rd overall, an INSPIRED Kara Johnston, Sydnee Elliott, another great finish from Melia Hecht, and Riley Davis Next meet is DESERT TWILIGHT this FRIDAY.
  • JH CROSS COUNTRY is coming!  After school, during quite possibly the nicest time of the year (2nd quarter!) and you will be done before other JH even dismiss.  Help us defend our titles, keep the trophies and hang more banners in the gym!!  You are guaranteed to get faster and stronger if you complete the workouts!  Come be part of one of the biggest, most successful organizations on campus with the best grades around!  Get cleared at registermyathlete and pay your fee in the bookstore so you are ready to go.  We will pick prize winners from all new followers (@coltsxc on insta) on Friday!  Any 8th grader who brings a new friend to sign up this year will also get a prize on the first day of practice!  LETS GO COLTS!!
  • The Varsity Golf team entered the soggy confines of Las Colinas Golf Course yesterday to battle the mighty BlackHawks of Williams Field and Coyotes of Combs.  It was a knockdown, drag out battle lasting 9 grueling holes in wet and wild conditions. Using course tactics seldom seen this side of the Mississippi, Casey “The Wolfman” Wolfswinkle came in at 2 over par.  Wyatt “Chip-Chip” Chapman and Rio “Bam-Bam” Newcombe found their groove after mother nature reared it’s ugly head and salvaged a respectable (yet disappointing according to their standards) 3 over apiece.  Michael “Shades” Cosgrove and “Special K” – Kyler Quaempts – limped in wounded, yet better for the experience, at 4 over and 5 over a piece.  Your Golf Squad is currently ranked #4 in Division 2 and will lace em up again next Tuesday at Trilogy.

Don’t forget to live by the three C’s – COURAGE, CHARACTER AND COMMITMENT
