Colts News · Casteel Wrestling Jan 13-18

The County Line Tussle was a huge success. Thanks to Clint Mortensen for running track, Heather Stevens and Stephanie Krom and many others for hospitality room help, Lawana Mortensen/ Chris Posvar and many others in concessions, Erin Becker for table help, our varsity wrestlers were awesome at tables/set up and clean up. Our coaching staff took on many responsibilities besides just coaching and were incredible as always. All in all it was a great tournament because of our team efforts. Great teams do not care who gets the credit just as long as they are successful, so I know there are many of you that deserve praise and please accept my thanks for being a team player , and understand I and others see your efforts.

As for the wrestling, our boys and girls were fantastic and dominated the competition. Champions included: 106lbs Michael Byrd defeating teammate JM Masters, 113 Zach
Posvar was 2nd, 120lbs had Ben Weir 1st, Nicolas Cardona 2nd, Jonathan Lukes 3rd. Sheldon Monte lost a one point decision to Ben Weir (team depth) 126 Isaac Mortensen won a close decision over teammate Ethan Becker. 132 saw Evan Terwilliger lose one point match to the eventual champion, 138 lbs Gabe Mendoza was 1st, 152 lbs Dylan Rimer was 2nd, and 160lbs Austin Young was 2nd. The ladies had Lexi Done 1st, Isabelle Munoz edging out Rheagan Terwilliger for top spot, Camry Carter taking 1st, Taylor Griego and Alyssa Galvez were both 3rd place. Hopefully I did not forget any, but that is off of memory. Great work team.
