Boys Varsity Soccer · Casteel Boy’s Soccer Has Blown Other Teams Out of the Water with Recent Scores

Story By Student Journalists Mia Newcombe and Ashlyn Drew

Casteel Boy’s Soccer has been moving swiftly through their season, finishing games with one win after another. The team currently has 8 wins and 0 losses. Additionally, they’ve only been scored on once and have scored a total of 43 goals themselves. They are ranked #1 according to MaxPreps, across all divisions.

Teammate dynamic can make or break a team. The Casteel Boy’s soccer team has great sportsmanship for each other and with other teams. Being able to come together on and off the field is a huge advantage for the team.

The soccer team is very proud of their accomplishments, and it shows through in the way they speak of their team. Team goalie Kyan Cameron describes their efforts by stating that “Our season is going really well so far. We have a fast attacking force that no defense has managed to contain for more than a half. Our biggest piece of success has come from the back line. The chemistry Dillon, Mason, Tristan, and Caleb posses makes our line nearly impossible to pass and we owe it all to them  for our substantially large goal differential. I’m confident we can go all the way to the state championship if we stay focused and disciplined throughout the rest of the season.”

Unfortunately due to Covid-19, being able to watch their games in person is difficult. Most of the time, spectators are not allowed at the games. Thankfully, they are always live for anyone to watch. You can keep supporting Casteel Boy’s soccer team by watching them live on the NFHS network and keeping up to date how well the boys are doing this season.

Casteel’s soccer performance has always been impressive, and this season isn’t any different. With tremendous player efforts and knowledgeable coaches, the team is headed straight to the top. Despite restricting circumstances due to Covid-19 guidelines, the team has truly pulled through and has performed exceptionally.
